Raffles Courtyard

After the wonderful ride on The Singapore Flyer, we had a drink at The Raffles Hotel, another famous landmark in Singapore. We were allowed into the lobby of the hotel, but then quickly went around the corner into the gardens and courtyards of the hotel.

Around the back in the courtyard we had a lovely cup of coffee (my stomach wouldn’t have handled a Singapore Sling very well). It’s a great place to wind down after a day of sight seeing and Chimes across the street is a definite recommendation for food.

Also Raffles gets a 10 out of 10, but it’s more a tourist attraction (with the expensive souvenirs to got with it), than a hotel. Also the address (1 Beach Road, Singapore) might create an expectations that it cannot keep. It’s been a long time since The Raffles Hotel was a beach front hotel.
