Singapore Flyer

Yesterday we finally got to do something really touristy. I took my mum to The Singapore Flyer. Basically, I can recommend this to everybody visiting Singapore, it’s absolutely spectacular.

We got on our pod, which is the size of a small bus and takes a maximum of 28 people at 4.30pm. This was just after all the schools had left and before the after-work crowd arrived and we had enough room to walk around our cabin and take pictures of everything. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Look at my Flickr pictures and you can see the amazing views of the bay and island, city skyline and new developments around Marina Bay and the F1 circuit.

I think my mum enjoyed the ride as well and it clearly gives a visitor an idea of how big this island state and city really is. We picked a relatively clear day, but I am not sure if we could have seen all the way to Indonesia and Malaysia as some brochures suggested.

I loved it and all stars to The Singapore Flyer. We finished off with a cup of coffee at Raffles.
