If I did, I would go and hit some golf balls at the nearest driving Range, which is only 5 minutes away from where I live. Funny enough, that’s closer as Albert Park was when I lived in Melbourne and still I haven’t taken my golfclubs out of the bombshelter since I moved to Singapore 6 months ago. The range is called Queens Golf Driving Range and is literally in the middle of some expensive properties.

Spend all day at the Sentosa Gold Club yesterday, watching some of the world’s greatest golf players pass by and play some magnificent golf. It was a great day, got a little sunburn and dehydrated, but enjoyed it very much. Got to see Phil Mickelson, Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els and Chapchai Nirat. But because of the ban on cameras over the weekend, unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of opportunities to get pictures. I decided to watch the finals of this years Barclays Singapore Open 2008 from the comfy sofa at home. Here some impressions from the tournament.
Tonight I was only experimenting with my new camera and the settings for capturing lightning at night, when I miraculously shot this one. As the “wet” season has started in Singapore, it rains every day and more often than not, it’s accompanied my spectacular lightning bolts. So, after a quick reference on the internet for suggested settings, I shot this picture in a series of 10. That was it, I didn’t expect to capture any lightning, but I am happy with this one.
I’m looking into visiting this years Barclay Singapore Open 2008 on Sentosa Island next week. Will keep you posted!
UPDATE:
I have received my access pass to the Barclay’s Singapore Open 2008 golf tournament today. It’s a 4 day pass, I will be spending most if not all weekend on Sentosa!
For over 5 months now, I have been passing a food-court between Buona Vista and Dover MRT station to and from work. Today I finally got to have some food there at UNO Beef House, next to Jumbo Coffee Hub. Some people think the steak there is some of the best in the area. I, off course, have been spoiled by the weekly steaks at The grillroom in Melbourne. But for a food-court, the steak was definitely good.
