In August 2008 we picked up our clothes from our custom tailor Mohan’s at far East Plaza in the city. I had some pants extended, some trousers and shirts copied. I took my favourite trousers and shirt to Max Mohan last week at our first fitting and now almost have half a closet of cloth that fit perfectly.

Therefore I have given Max 5 out of 5 stars. Here’s his review marks:

0/10

Max comes highly recommended by some of the expat magazines and forums and they’ve all been right. They have shops all over the world and dress some important and famous people.

I put in some additional orders and I will in the future as well. Now that they have my measurements, a call or email is enough to get that next pair of trousers or shirts. Olivia got her whole outfit for her new job made to fit and in the colours required. She’s also extremely happy. My mum also had some pieces made and already taken back home. She also was generally satisfied.

So, if you need a tailor, go and see Max!

UPDATE: Max is still going strong on Scotts Road. After 6 months I thought it was time for some new pieces and ordered 2 pants and 2 shirts.
Once he knows you and has your measures on file, picking out some new stuff is as easy as selecting the materials and pay.

Singapore Moon It is said that the moon looks like it’s larger than normal at the moment, so I stayed up and waited for it to rise and test out one of my 3 new lenses. So, here’s the result of a large moon with my new 100-400mm Canon lens. I am pretty happy with the result, it’s almost a good as watching the moon with a stargazer telescope back in Melbourne. Difference is, the nights are a lot clearer here in Singapore and I actually see a lot of stars and beautiful moons here.
