For the record, what I was craving and what I grew up with at our monthly visit to the Chinese Rest (I have also gotten in other states of Oz) is this.. 1 serve of chicken/pork and veg spring rolls 1 chicken and sweetcorn soup (I miss this!) 1 beef and black bean sauce 1 sweet and sour pork.. 1 combination fried rice Oh & don't forget PRAWN CRACKERS!! Well it seems I may have to return to Oz or maybe visit the US to have my 'traditional' Chinese fare...as much as I love SOME Chinese food served here, especially the style served at Mandarin Oriental buffet...mmmm... and I will forever be a fan of chicken rice (esp with curry sauce) I still miss my childhood Chinese treats..(and I am not talking chicken feet)..I just remembered we would have fried ice cream for desert!
