Wow, temperatures taken 3 times a day!
You must be getting fed up with dropping your pants all the time.
Those crazy Singaporeans and their thermometers...

I have certainly learnt a lot about Chinese food this weekend...(thanks Joost and Wiki)

Its true I was craving my "Aussie style" Chinese..I realise now that this style is ONLY served in Oz..also the UK,US and various other non Asian countries where rice is not a staple..

For the record, what I was craving and what I grew up with at our monthly visit to the Chinese Rest (I have also gotten in other states of Oz) is this..

1 serve of chicken/pork and veg spring rolls
1 chicken and sweetcorn soup (I miss this!)
1 beef and black bean sauce
1 sweet and sour pork..
1 combination fried rice
Oh & don't forget PRAWN CRACKERS!!

Well it seems I may have to return to Oz or maybe visit the US to have my 'traditional' Chinese fare...as much as I love SOME Chinese food served here, especially the style served at Mandarin Oriental buffet...mmmm... and I will forever be a fan of chicken rice (esp with curry sauce)

I still miss my childhood Chinese treats..(and I am not talking chicken feet)..I just remembered we would have fried ice cream for desert! Good times..

Nice entry..Its amazing how they can have full grown trees where there is nothing but dirt...power of positive thinking perhaps? Heres hoping building is delayed till years end by the current economic situation..It was a shocking 6 months listening to them pull the old condos down..positive thinking ;-p

@ The Fiancée - That's right, holiday booking privileges have been withdrawn. But you're forgiven, because if it wasn't for my crazy requirements, you would have booked us in an ordinary hotelroom and I wouldn't have enjoyed the holiday anyway. Believe me, although Africa seems only yesterday, I need that holiday more than ever.
