Now that I live in Singapore, several other low cost carriers have successfully launched in the region. In a reaction to the success of AirAsia, 2 of these carriers call Singapore home, Tiger Airways and Jetstar.

  • EchucaOn our first day we stopped at Echuca, a town along the Murray river, where paddle-steams still ply their trade - at least for tourists. The 'old' quarter of the town was quiet

  • Geelongwe passsed through Geelong, where the 3-lane highway turns into a beautifull coastal road.
  • Getting settled...Now that we've been here exactly 4 weeks and now that I have received my first pay-check, today was the day to buy the final necessary items for our apartment.
  • Going to SingaporeNext week we'll be leaving for Singapore! The flights have been booked, as well as the hotel. We'll be leaving Melbourne behind us for at least the next 12 months

  • Great Singapore SaleOh well, today we finally experienced the real Great Singapore Sale. Now that we have our own apartment, we needed to buy the basics to actually be able to live there.

  • Guest Room available for F1 GP WeekendToday it's 100 days until the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix 2008 weekend. Not only is it the first F1 GP in Singapore, it's also the first street circuit in Asia and the first night race.
